2. Will Tottenham sign a striker?

As Tottenham have discovered in previous transfer windows, finding a striker isn’t easy. Spurs need a striker who is happy with being the number two behind Harry Kane, which will likely mean many games starting on the bench. Spurs rarely play with two up front, so they need a striker to be used in a backup role, starting occasionally and most likely in cup games.

A year ago, Spurs missed out on Paulo Dybala. He’s an exception as it’s highly unlikely he’d have just been a bench player for Tottenham. With a strike partnership of Kane and Dybala, both could’ve started most games.

This summer will be different. It’s highly unlikely a move for Dybala will happen this year after he had a dominant season with Juventus.

Now, Spurs have been linked with Watford’s Troy Deeney and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson. While these rumors aren’t as exciting as the possibility of signing Dybala last season, they could both give Tottenham some good depth up front behind Kane. While they wouldn’t get regular first-team action, they’d be back in the Premier League with the opportunity to push for trophies and play in the Europa League.

Spurs have struggled in the past when Kane goes down with an injury. They need to be better prepared. But will they sign a striker?
