On Friday night, Ben Davies, Brennan Johnson, and their Wales counterparts were in nations league action away to Iceland, as they began their second camp under new manager Craig Bellamy.

Both Davies and Johnson were named in Bellamy's starting XI for this game, with Davies starting as a left centre-back in a back four, whilst Johnson started on the right hand side in a 433 set up.

A little over ten minutes into the game, and Johnson continued his electric form, as he made it seven goals in his last seven games. The Icelandic goalkeeper tried to parry the ball off the line as it looked to trickle in, but could only palm it to the path of the Spurs forward who will genuinely never have an easier chance in his entire life, as cliche as it is.

Wales would double their lead through Harry Wilson midway through the first half, but that is where the fun stopped. Their hosts came roaring back in the second half, scoring two goals of their own to make sure the shares were spoiled as the game finished with a 2-2 draw. Johnson was replaced at half-time, whilst Davies played the whole 90 minutes, as the 31-year old skippered the side. Certainly no bad thing for Spurs that the 23-year old was able to get 45 minutes of rest in an intense schedule.

Whilst they will be disappointed to have drawn from 2-0 up, the result means they are still yet to lose in the first three games of the Bellamy era. This result leaves Wales second in their nations league group, with five points from their first three games - two points below Turkey in first.

Next up for Davies, Johnson and Wales is another game in the nations league, as they host Montenegro on Tuesday night in Cardiff. Kick off for that one is 19:45 BST.
