Fabrizio Romano names EIGHT fringe players on Tottenham transfer list
By Kian Long
It is no secret that Ange Postecoglou is dissatisfied with the state of Tottenham Hotspur football club currently. Not in a "he's going to leave" kind of way but in a "he's got his work cut out for him" way. Still, it is a project which will excite the Aussie boss. As the long-term option in North London, he is not the type to shy away from big challenges, which is exactly what Tottenham need.
So, the summer transfer window presents a golden opportunity for Tottenham to upgrade their squad. They are expected to make some big moves and those moves should certainly excite fans. However, for multiple different reasons such as adhering to FFP rules and maintaining squad balance, fans must first open themselves up to the possibility of players leaving the club.
Fabrizio Romano names EIGHT fringe players on Tottenham transfer list
Indeed, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on this front. The Italian transfer expert has claimed that Ange Postecoglou and the rest of the Tottenham higher-ups have already contemplated which players will be sold. Romano has indicated eight players who could be on the chopping board. They are as follows...
1. Joe Rodon
Unsurprisingly, the first name on the transfer list for Tottenham is 26-year-old Joe Rodon. The Welshman has spent the season on loan at Leeds United, helping them reach the EFL Championship playoff final, where they could gain promotion back to the Premier League. Therefore, he is expected to leave Tottenham permanently after his loan spell ends.
2. Djed Spence
Another player who is due to return from loan to Tottenham is Djed Spence. The 23-year-old full-back has spent the season on loan at Serie A club Genoa, helping them to finish 11th in the Italian top-flight. As per Romano, Spence is expected to leave Tottenham this summer.

3. Japhet Tanganga
Spurs are looking to sign a centre-back in the summer transfer window, but loaned out Japhet Tanganga will not fill that void. As per Romano, the Englishman will return to Tottenham from his loan spell at Milwall, only to be sold in the summer transfer window.
4. Bryan Gil
This one should come as no surprise to Tottenham fans. Signed from Sevilla in 2021, Bryan Gil has been a flop at Tottenham and he will rightfully be sold. After all, he made the decision to quit Tottenham himself in March. As per Romano, he is "attracting interest"
5. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg
Alongside Gil, fellow midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is also "attracting" interest, as per Fabrizio Romano. Højbjerg has seen a drastic reduction in minutes this season, starting just eight Premier League games all season, whereas in the last campaign he started 35.
6. Emerson Royal
As relayed by Hotspur HQ yesterday, Tottenham will listen to offers for Emerson Royal. As per Fabrizio Romano, he is on AC Milan's shortlist of potential summer signings.
7. Ryan Sessegnon
Ryan Sessegnon's time at Tottenham has been pretty miserable, and it is personified by the manner in which he is leaving - As a free agent. Still, we hope he achieves success at his next club.
8. Giovani Lo Celso
After spending last season on loan and impressing in La Liga, Giovani Lo Celso has seriously struggled to make a name for himself this season. With just four Premier League starts all season, Fabrizio Romano has labelled Lo Celso as "one to watch" and indicated he is one of the players who Tottenham could let go of hit summer.
