Bryan Gil is heading back to sunny Spain where he’ll join Valencia on loan for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season.
The all-knowing Fabrizio Romano locked it in this afternoon, saying it’s a done deal. Which means only one thing: Gil is packing his bags and booking a flight destined for the idyllic, sun-drenched Spanish coastal city.

Tottenham are in advanced talks with OL for Tanguy Ndombele. Dele Alli-AC Milan rumours are wide of mark. #THFC
One of the main factors contingent on Spurs loaning the 20-year-old was ensuring Fabio Paratici and company had enough incoming reinforcements. That way Tottenham wouldn’t get caught thin due to a dangerous lack of depth in personnel.
Now that Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are bound for north London, Tottenham can feel comfortable sending their promising young Spaniard back to his homeland to get some more experience and first-team action.
There is, however, another important consideration in sending Gil on loan. The intricate details have now been released and it doesn’t include a to-buy option. There’s also no option to extend. hallelujah!
Bryan Gil to Valencia, done deal confirmed and here we go. It’s a straight loan - NOT including any option to extend for one more season and no buy option clause. 🦇⚪️ #Valencia

Gil is seeping with potential and can have an instrumental impact on Spurs’ first team proceedings in future years.
Tottenham, as expected, did not include a to-buy clause, making the Gil-to-Valencia loan a sound, astute bit of business. Gil will come back to north London slightly older, more experienced and seasoned, all of which will benefit Tottenham in the future.
