Most Tottenham Hotspur fans are quite frustrated with the clubs’ lack of any new players coming in the market, however, one has to also wonder, where are the player sales?

Tottenham has been linked with several players coming in but has continued to fail in their pursuits. Allegedly one of the reasons is the need to move players out before they bring players in. At this point then it is hard to say which is more frustrating, the club’s inability to sign a player or the inability to sell a player. So where are the outgoing transfers?

Where are the transfers away from Tottenham?

Step one in the failure thus far in the January 2022 window has been the continued inability to move on players that are surplus to or unsuitable for Antonio Conte‘s requirements.

At this point, since the sale of Gareth Bale, Spurs no longer sell players at their peak, nor do they even sell them for value. Instead, Tottenham simply sits on players until they have almost no value and no real future, seemingly anywhere.

The idea that none of the three of Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele, or Giovani Lo Celso can be moved on at least a loan is ridiculous. Instead of moving these players, we get stories about them waiting to find out who a coach is, waiting for the right team, or simply being unwilling to move. If players have this much say, who exactly is running the ship at N17, the club or agents?

The continued inability to transfer out players the coach does not want is infuriating and has made the squad more than stale. Part of the reason Fabio Paratici was brought to the club was his ability to both sign and just as importantly sell players.

To date the only first-team player to get a loan has been Jack Clarke, who is moving to League One Sunderland, which begs the question – why was he on the first-team in the first place? If this team can not get rid of the deadwood, it can never move forward. Fabio, the ball is in your court
