1. Tanguy Ndombele

And now for the showstopper, the most epic failing of them all. Let’s start with the positives. Tanguy Ndombele scored a sweet goal on his debut against Aston Villa back in August of 2019. Ok, well, there are few other positives, like his absurdly unorthodox and special goal against Sheffield United the following season. That outside of the boot lobbed goal injected an abundance of hope about the Frenchman’s future at Spurs.

Turns out it was false hope. Just as bad as a receiving a false negative on a rapid Covid test.

Ndombele has since sputtered and frustrated numerous Tottenham managers. Inconsistent performances headline his time at Spurs. While he shows signs of otherworldly skill, he also has a propensity to vanish from matches. Even worse, he is quite often a liability in the centre of the park, unable to math the physical demands of the top flight.

dark. Next. If only relentlessness of this rumour made it true

Recently Ndombele petulantly sauntered off when he was withdrawn against Morecambe in the FA Cup, the collective straw that broke Tottenham supporters’ back. Seen training on his lonesome last week, Ndombele’s time at Tottenham seems to be up. That is, if the club can find a buyer willing to pay his exorbitant £200,000 weekly salary.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, he cost Spurs a record fee of £55 million. That’s an expensive mistake, Mr. Pochettino. I still love you, but holy sh*%.
