Full Tottenham XI and the Bench

Despite a number of absences for Covid and other issues, Tottenham is able to field a strong team that should be able to handle Newcastle.

With the issues of availability and now knowing who exactly is out, the 9 players backing up the starting XI is not exactly rocket science. We would like to think Bryan Gil is one of the first names on the list, however, Gil has also been linked with the positive Covid result, although no official word has been received.

We have to believe that Pierluigi Gollini, Joe Rodon, Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez, and Emerson Royal are all part of the bench, again assuming they are available. That means more than half the bench is dedicated to defence, leaving the rest of the attack and the midfield.

Santo will have Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, and likely Harry Winks in the midfield and Dane Scarlett to provide an alternative in attack, with Gil seemingly out.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Reguilon, Dier, Romero, Tanganga, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Kane, and Lucas

Tottenham Subs: Gollini, Rodon, Davies, Sanchez, Royal, Dele, Lo Celso, Winks, Scarlett
