Full Projected XI and the Tottenham Bench

The starting XI for Tottenham looks very much like the ones we have seen previously with the big change coming with Harry Kane coming back into the side.

Tottenham Hotspur Substitutes

With the Premier League allowing the nine substitutes this season, there is never a reason, outside an injury after all three substitutes have been made, for the Spurs to not have sufficient cover on the bench.

Expect four defensive substitutes to be available. Essentially the back five from midweek, less Dier will all be on the bench. Pierluigi Gollini as the back-up keeper, and then Ben Davies, Romero, and Matt Doherty for defense.

After the midweek performance likely all three of Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, and Bryan Gil will be chomping at the bit to get some time in the league. Winks was good keeping the play in front of him and both Lo Celso and Bryan showed they can unlock a dug-in defense.

The last two substitutes are the two attackers in the mix. First, Lucas Moura is back on the bench with Harry Kane returning, and then Dane Scarlett gets that last spot in the squad. The hope would be that Spurs could have a nice lead and the kid could get some minutes late; otherwise, he is kind of the in case of emergency break the glass option.

So there is our projected XI based on what we have seen and how we are getting to know the new gaffer, Nuno Espirito Santo. It should be side strong enough to take the lead and deep enough to maintain it. So who do you think is starting for Spurs against Watford?
