Bale, Aurier top ratings as Tottenham Hotspur slash Sheffield 4-0

Tottenham Substitutes and Coach
None of the Tottenham Hotspur substitutes wowed but all three came on and were sharp. Combined the three substitutes completed more than 57 of 61 passes, which kept the ball moving and Tottenham in command.
Winks – 7
Harry Winks was the first substitute coming on for Giovani Lo Celso just after the third goal. Winks had been on the touchline waiting to come on, so it was not a reactionary substitution. Rather it was a substitution with controlling the match and closing the game in mind. Winks did his job completing more than a pass per minute on 26 of 28 attempts in his 20 minutes. None of it is going to wow you but it did keep possession when that was the name of the game.
Bergwijn – N/A
Steven Bergwijn came on for Gareth Bale and it is only a shame that both he and Bale were denied the ovation that would have occurred at the touchline when they traded places. Bergwijn did complete 9 of 10 passes and managed an assist almost upon entry. Dele was pressuring the Blades, Bergwijn recovered the ball dribbled toward the goal, and dished to Son for his curler. Maybe the assist will help spark his season.
Lamela – N/A
Erik Lamela came on with just 12 minutes to go for Dele Alli and like Winks, was looking to get on the ball. Completing 12 of 13 passes in his 12 minutes, clearly, Lamela wanted the ball. If Dele starts to get minutes, Lamela may be one to suffer for it.
Coach Mason – 8
A week after it seemed like every button he pushed was the wrong button, Ryan Mason came through with flying colors on Sunday. We need to temper our expectations as it was just Sheffield United, who is the worst team in the league this season. Still, seeing Tottenham look to pressure in the attacking half and turning that pressure into possession and opportunities is what we all want to see. The best way to hide a suspect defense is with stellar offense and we got that on Sunday. A good match for as Mason took his chances, now can he and Spurs build on that success?
There are our ratings, what did you think of the team on Sunday?
