Tottenham Forwards

Tottenham got some bursts of activity from their attacking three, but nothing consistently from any of them and really only a glimpse of goal, as the offense continues to sputter for Spurs.

Steven Bergwijn – 3

Despite not scoring earlier in the season, Steven Bergwijn was giving some really strong minutes for Tottenham doing the little things, like helping to press on offense or come back to help on defense. Bergwijn was even starting to grow a bit of a hold-up game. Suddenly as if he forgot everything that was making him an important part of the team, we saw none of it on Thursday. Sure Bergwijn had a couple dribbles but so did Lucas Moura in a third of the minutes. Whatever Bergwijn was giving is just gone.

Carlos Vinicius – 4.5

Carlos Vinicius showed that he can be found in the box, although there were not enough efforts to do so with him. Unfortunately, Carlos was unable to actually finish his big attempt. Makes one wonder how he might have done given some more seasoning and opportunities. Vinicius is not Harry Kane, but there are not enough adjustments being made to help him fill the void as best he can.

Heung-Min Son – 3

In some ways Heung-Min Son’s day was even worse than Bergwijn’s as the South Korean missed a decent half chance late in extra time. It was essentially the last glimpse of goal Spurs would see and seemingly the first look Son had. Played in a decent ball on the free kick that Aurier headed wide. Hard pressed to think of anything memorable he did.
