Serge Aurier 7/10

An excellent work rate combined with a fantastic left footed strike headlined a strong first half for Serge Aurier. Clearly passionate about the cause, Aurier’s desire to win endears him to Spurs’ following, especially on days like this.

Ben Davies 5/10

The Welshman struggled at times with the pace of the game but got better as time transpired. His pinpoint cross early in the second half found Dele’s head, whose resulting header was scuffed wide.

Giovani Lo Celso 7/10

Giovain was class on the ball, always making good use in possession. The diminutive Argentine needs a lot more creative support, though.

Harry Winks 5.5/10

The Englishman captained the side and took the responsibility in stride. Still wasn’t enough to get the job done, though. He needed to support more his shaky defence.

Lucas Moura 6/10

The Brazilian was one of Spurs best performers on the day. He attacked with the explosiveness Tottenham fans know he’s capable of. Moura had a couple of excellent forays into the opposition third in the first half and was a continuous thorn in Wolves’ side. He did, however, allow Diogo Jota to turn easily, leading to Wolves third. And the Brazilian struggled to find a foothold in a rather disappointing second half.
