Defence

Paulo Gazzaniga 5/10

Paulo didn’t to a whole lot wrong but still allowed three goals without making a single memorable save. While the goals weren’t his fault, he didn’t get the chance to provide his team with needed momentum.

Davinson Sánchez 5/10

Davinson was the best of the defensive lot, which isn’t saying much. He was average but didn’t do anything to help make the porous rearguard more compact.

Eric Dier 2/10

Eric Dier struggled with the pace and power of Wolves dynamic attack. He shouldn’t be in the starting team at any position. Yet another poor performance was more evidence of his tragic fall from grace. Dier left Tanganga alone on Wolves third, an unforgivable mistake from a veteran professional.

Japhet Tanganga 3/10

The youngster endured an incredibly difficult day at the office and was punished for his naivety on Wolves’ winner. Jimenez took advantage of Tanganga’s premature lunge to break Spurs’ hearts in the 73rd minute.
