Backup plan #1

The first option for Mourinho is to stick Steven Bergwijn in a more central position, playing as the lone front man. Lucas Moura and Giovani Lo Celso support Dele and Bergwijn on the wings. Lo Celso has excelled as the anchor in central midfield, but is versatile and proficient playing in an advanced role. It might not be his best position, but Lo Celso is confident higher up the pitch.

Tanguy Ndombele plays ahead of Harry Winks, who anchors Spurs midfield. Ndombele will need to show more stability and consistency. This is his opportunity to showcase his prodigiousness from a slightly more advanced, central role.
