Tottenham’s most notable moments and performances from 2017-18

Worst performance of the season
Runner up
This dubious honour wasn’t easy to pick either. The runner-up came from the Hawthornes on May 5, when Tottenham lost to West Brom 0-1 in a listless, abjectly disappointing match.
The defeat, with Chelsea breathing down their neck, mounted pressure on Tottenham with only two matches to play. Thankfully Spurs recovered from that woeful performance to secure third spot. It is the runner-up, good for the second worst performance.
Winner
Tottenham’s visit to the Emirates in mid-November takes worst-performance honours. So much was expected in the preamble, with Tottenham firing on all cylinders going into the pivotal fixture. Arsenal were enduring a poor run of form, but Spurs came out as flat as a Nutella crêpe. Losing 2-0 in such a disappointing manner to the most bitter of arch rivals made that pill all the more impossible to swallow.
