Even with a better second half than the first, Spurs had a hard time overcoming City's high press at times. However, one player offered that press resistance that Tottenham Hotspur highly needed at that point in time: Djed Spence. The English talent has not only been pilling up man-of-the-match trophies, but his motor has also become an indispensable weapon for Spurs.

Spence has indeed become un-benchable at this point, and even with Udogie performing well after a long time away and Porro providing a different profile to the role, Djed needs to start every week more often than not. Or, at least, that would be Ange's more coherent decision, mainly in terms of performance.
