Better late than ever, Kevin Danso has become the much-needed reinforcement to the Spurs' defensive system, which has been required since the beginning of the season. Since the earlier injury issues with Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero, the Spurs only relied on Radu Drăgușin as the only depth option in that area.

After a long injury crisis and many improvisations, the Austrian international finally gave some air to an already unrested defense. Danso provides speed recovery to adapt to Ange's high lines, solidity in offensive and defensive aerial duels, and, mainly, trustworthiness with the ball on his feet, which is not something Spurs fans can say they had in Drăgușin. Therefore, Danso is growing in Ange's ranks after every performance and might be the immediate option in the backline for the future.
