Tottenham Hotspur invested in many young talents in the summer transfer window. As much as Spurs invested more in the future rather than the present and, consequently, more immediate needs in the squad, it is unrefutable that the young lads are starting to step up. Lucas Bergvall, for instance, is looking more comfortable in Spurs' midfield after every game, and his confident and forward-thinking display against City is another example of that.

Other lads like Archie Gray illustrate why the Spurs invested so much money in a youth talent from Leeds. The England international shows rare confidence with the ball on his feet and spatial awareness, which allows him to adapt to different positions on the pitch. Wilson Odobert also showcased his talents at only 20 years old, providing depth and interesting 1v1s at the left flank following a long period of injuries earlier in the season.
