On Thursday evening, Tottenham Hotspur overcame a tricky away task against Hungarian league leaders Ferencvaros with a narrow 2-1 win. Spurs are one of only five teams to have won both of their games so far, along with; Lazio, Lyon, FCSB, and Anderlecht.

In that win, Ange Postecoglu opted to start Mikey Moore, in quite a youthful lineup, that had four teenagers starting, with Moore, Will Lankshear, Lucas Bergvall, and Archie Gray.

Moore started on the right wing of a front three along with Lankshearer and Werner. With this start, he became the youngest player to start for an English club in the Europa League for 15 years.

The teenager did not look out of place, either, despite not starting in his natural position. He had 68 touches, two shots, won six duels, and drew four fouls. He was involved in the build-up for both of Spurs' goals on the night and played the whole 90 minutes despite Ange making four changes.

Most impressively, during a Spurs breakaway from a Ferencvaros corner, Moore played a superb cross ball in behind for Werner, who unfortunately could not find the back of the net and give Moore an assist.

Regardless, it was still an impressive display from someone who you sometimes have to remind yourself is only 17. James Maddison even said himself in a recent interview that he sometimes has to pinch himself, regarding Moore's youthfulness.

Ange was full of praise for Moore afterward, saying: "I thought he was outstanding. It's brilliant for a 17-year-old to play 90-plus minutes in a European away tie. He just handled it superbly, I kind of knew he would and I think it'll help his growth as a footballer once you get through a sort of experience like that. I think he'll grow and evolve and I didn't feel like I needed to take him off. He still looked strong at the end and was still contributing.
