It was largely speculated academy starlets Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear were going to be part of the first team on matchdays following their impressive preseason performances.

Well, it's not quite happened. At least not yet.

Moore and Lankshear have not only been on the U-21 duties, they're also very far down the seniority table, and Tottenham are relatively healthy at this point. Postecoglou may have wanted to start the season on the strongest note possible, vying for experienced players first. Remember, both of these academy boys are still in their teens. Moore only turned 17 a few weeks ago.

That's not to say they won't get any playing time. Postecoglou is known to trust the youth, as seen with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall rounding out the bench the last two matchdays.

The Europa League campaign will begin soon, and it will be a prime chance for the two to fight for a spot on the bench and maybe even the starting lineup. Postecoglou has said they will be included in the senior team, and they have been training with it. They'll make their debut soon enough, though some fans' patience might be tested in the process.
