Spurs dominate Everton: Five observations from the match

I'm sure everyone was curious to see how Ange Posetcoglou would adapt in his second season. One thing was for sure, though: the high defensive line is still here, and the quick-passing, possession-based football fans love to watch is, too.
Postecoglou has altered things slightly, though. Porro and Udogie were roaming near the forwards' line, almost creating four strikers across. Brennan Johnson and debutant Wilson Odobert played out wide while Son sat the No. 9 spot, with the fullbacks near him. James Maddison played as a creator from deep, with Romero and van de Ven behind him. Yves Bissouma and Dejan Kulusevski sat higher in midfield, ready to receive passes and distribute.
This was one of the team's brightest displays under Postecoglou. It was his highest goal tally at home since taking the job at N17. Spurs probably could've had a few more if they had clicked just slightly more. Nevertheless, the boss was very pleased, saying the team was "outstanding" throughout the whole match. He'll want to see that every week.
