Spurs international watch: Another goal for Tottenham midfielder
By Tom Vinall
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma made it two goals in as many games for Mali over the international break with a goal against Eswatini in Africa Cup Of Nations qualifying.
Bissouma had scored in Mali's first game of the break, in a 1-1 draw against Mozambique, and followed it up here with the only goal of the game to secure an important three points away in Eswatini.
With his wonder goal against Everton last month, it has been a very good start to the season for Bissouma, putting his off-field disappointment behind him and clearly managing to focus on the task at hand for both club and country. The goal against Everton was his first-ever goal for the club, and he only had three goals in 37 appearances for Mali, before these two in his last two games. Clearly a man inspired.

The midfielder was forced off 65 minutes into the game, but fans who were watching have reassured Spurs fans that it was "nothing serious" as he was just taken off after his foot was stood on and that he should be absolutely fine. Fingers crossed that is the case.
As well as the goal, the Spurs midfielder created five chances, completed 5/8 dribbles, won 7/12 ground duels, had two other shots, drew one foul, and made a tackle in a superb all-round performance in just 65 minutes on the pitch.
This win puts Mali up to second in their Africa Cup Of Nations qualifying group, below Mozambique on goals scored as the two sides have equal head-to-head records and goal difference. The top two teams in the group will advance to the Africa Cup Of Nations finals.
That rounds off the international break for all Spurs players, who will now return to N17 ahead of the huge North London derby that takes place on Sunday.
