Next up for Tottenham, it is one of the biggest fixtures of the Premier League calendar. For the first time this season, Tottenham vs Arsenal will commence, with both sides locked-in for a win and a win only.

Ange Postecoglou has coached in two North London Derbies. In his third, he will be eager to experience his first derby win. Considering he has experience of managing the Glasgow Derby, the Aussie manager has great derby-day knowledge.

However, there are many contentious issues heading into the match. Firstly, the injury and suspension news hasn't been kind to either team (admittedly, Tottenham do have the advantage here).

Now, there is a Rodrigo Bentancur-shaped problem for Ange Postecoglou to decipher before the North London Derby.

Will Rodrigo Bentancur miss Tottenham vs Arsenal due to FA charge?

Rodrigo Bentancur has been charged by the FA for racist remarks involving Son Heung-min. He is not suspended for Tottenham vs Arsenal but Ange Postecoglou may be hesitant to start him as a result.

Rodrigo Bentancur has until September 19 to respond to the charge. Therefore, he is still eligible to play for Tottenham vs Arsenal.

The FA accused Rodrigo Bentancur of breaking FA rule E3, relating to comments about nationality, race, or ethnic origin. This is a result of Bentancur saying that Son Heung-min and his cousins "all look the same."

Bentancur has publicly apologised to Son, claiming that it was a "very bad joke" and he was sorry for his remark.

To which, Son admitted that his teammate Bentancur had "made a mistake" and nothing had changed since they were still "brothers."

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham said in a statement: "We fully support that our captain Sonny feels that he can draw a line under the incident and that the team can focus on the new season ahead."

The full extent of Rodrigo Bentancur's potential ban is not known. However, the consensus is that the Argentine midfielder could miss anywhere between 6-12 matches.

The potential matches which Bentancur misses will include Premier League fixtures and early Carabao Cup ties. It will not include UEFA competition, so Bentancur could still play in Spurs' Europa League matches.

Undeniably, Tottenham will undergo their own investigation into the comments. While the FA are yet to reveal the punishment which Rodrigo Bentancur could serve, Tottenham have the interest and comfort of their own players in mind.
