Harry Kane and his Bayern will host Arsenal this Wednesday, ready to cash in on their home-field advantage to advance to the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League semis. The German giants just lost the Bundesliga race over the weekend, and the European tournament became their main target.

In their quest for another 'Ol' Big Ears' trophy, the Bavarians could hurt Tottenham's chances of qualifying for next year's edition of the tournament. Kane was asked about this situation, but the English striker didn't look too worried about it, stating that Spurs fans would be happy to see Bayern beating Arsenal.

"Of course, I know there will be a lot of Spurs fans watching hoping Bayern Munich go through tomorrow night," the Spurs top goalscorer told reporters. "I can't focus on that. All I can do is try and beat the team in front of us, and that's Arsenal."

Harry Kane says Tottenham fans will root for Bayern against Arsenal

After the crushing defeat against Newcastle over the weekend, Tottenham now sit fifth in the Premier League table. They still have games to play to catch up with Aston Villa and surpass them to clinch a Champions League berth, but if things stay this way, and if the Bundesliga sides keep the pace, the Premier League will miss a spot for next year's tournament.

Of course, the picture would've been different if Tottenham didn't miss big chances to hold that fourth spot during the season. The situation is different now, and it should be outrageous that they're counting on an Arsenal win to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

The competition is still on for that UCL berth, and it should be in Tottenham's hands whether they make it to the tournament or not. Kane always performs well against Arsenal and considering how the season has played out for Bayern, they have all their attention on the Champions League, which makes things harder for their Wednesday opponents.
