Today is a day of more information about the transfer window, as a specialized journalist has provided a key update on a Tottenham target. Let's get into it.

Fabrizio Romano recently spilled the beans that a bunch of clubs are eyeing Edmond Tapsoba, a player who's been on Tottenham's radar. However, Bayer Leverkusen hasn't slapped a price tag on the defender yet.

Last summer, Tapsoba was linked with a move to Tottenham, but they ended up signing Micky van de Ven instead, who's turned out to be quite a sensation for them.

Now, according to reports from SportBILD (h/t Sport Witness), Spurs might be reigniting their interest in the 25-year-old this summer. But they're not alone in the race – Chelsea is also keen on bolstering their defense.

However, prying Tapsoba away won't be a walk in the park for either London club. The Bundesliga champs are expected to demand a pretty penny for the Burkina Faso international.

Romano has let slip that Manchester United is one of the top clubs scouting Tapsoba lately, hinting that the defender might be packing his bags this summer. Spurs have shown interest in Tapsoba before, but Leverkusen hasn't named their price yet.

Romano said, “Scouts from three top clubs were at Bayer Leverkusen's recent game against Borussia Dortmund, keeping an eye on Edmond Tapsoba. It's still early days, but Tapsoba is definitely drawing attention.”

With Tapsoba tied down to Leverkusen until 2028, they're going to want a pretty penny for him. If Tottenham are looking to swipe a defender from Leverkusen, Piero Hincapie might be a more realistic target this summer.
