3. Rodrigo Bentancur

Bentancur played excellently against City and really showed his worth the team. It works in his favour approaching the weekend and final gameweek that the midfielder was (famously) taken off to the bench to rest. While he clearly wasn't happy with the decision to be subbed off, it will leave him in better fitness to play this weekend.

I see it as Ange Postecoglou keeping Bentancur in mind for the final gameweek of the season. After all, there is still plenty to play for as Newcastle could still drop points in their final games. Therefore, Postecoglou must play his strongest lineup, while there is still a slimmer of a chance.

Nobody will deny that it would be better to be competing for Champions League football come the final game of the season. I mean, there are some pretend Spurs fans out there who campaigned for "their" team to lose against City but we won't count them. Either way, Spurs must play with the cards they are dealt right now and those card include battling for fifth place.
