Dominic Solanke

There are not many words left to describe how perfect Solanke is for Ange’s system. His pressing and link up play are absolutely second to none, and you would be hard pressed to find many better at those attributes in world football.

The striker may not have scored yesterday, but his assist for Porro was very clever and a real example of just how all rounded his game is. The way he held the ball up, holding off a number of City challenges to set Kulusevski away in the second half was just incredible.

Another player who absolutely benefitted from the international break, totalling 15 minutes across two games. He looked a lot fresher here. With Richarlison injured, he is going to be needed more than perhaps ideal – so this is very encouraging.
