Bayern Munich sets Friday deadline, coinciding with final €100 million bid

At least we’ll know one way or the other by Friday midnight (today) whether Harry Kane is leaving or staying at Tottenham.
That’s according to The Telegraph’s Jason Burt, who broke a story this morning that details Bayern Munich’s deadline.

The German club has put pressure on Daniel Levy, whose decision must be made by Friday on whether to sell him to the Bavarian club.
Levy doesn’t do ultimatums, so seeing how he reacts to this one will be interesting. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Kane stay after the appalling way Bayern has handled the entire negotiation process.
But at least we’ll know today whether the club’s top goalscorer of all time will suit up for Tottenham this season.
Bayern submitted its final bid to coincide with the deadline, offering more than €100 million plus add ons, a total that bridges the gap from Monday when the club’s valuations were separated by over €23 million.
That’s according to Florian Plettenberg, who has tweeted endlessly about this transfer process since the embryonic stages.

While still not quite matching Levy’s £100 million baseline valuation (€116 million), Bayern’s recent offer will definitely make Levy stop, ponder, and take pause.
The question is whether he’ll acquiesce and sell his most-prized asset for less than his initial asking price. By the way, Bayern’s offer still falls way short of Levy’s initial valuation of £120 million (almost €140 million).

Bayern has offered Kane a contract that would pay him over £400,000 weekly. While a lucrative offer, Levy matched that weekly pay packet when he reached out to Kane with an extension on his current offer, which the player, for now, turned down.

A decision, one way or another, is what people desire the most. A bit of finality so this entire mess can be put in the rearview mirror.
At least then, Tottenham can plan for the future, either finding suitable forwards to try and fill the mammoth void left by Kane’s departure or supporting him as he suits up in north London for at least one more season.
