Tottenham Coach and Substitute Ratings

Although he had five substitutes available, Conte only made a single change against West Ham. Thanks to changes, Conte had more firepower on his bench on Saturday and took advantage.

Substitute 1 – Dejan Kulusevski – 6

He was going to come on; then he wasn’t. Ultimately, Dejan Kulusevski came in for Kane after the talisman scored Spurs’ second. Kulusevski went to his normal right-forward position, and Richarlison moved to the central role. Kulusevski picked up a free kick and tried to run with the ball but spent a lot of time defending.

Substitute 2 – Ivan Perisic – 6

The Croatian came on with six minutes to go in the 90, replacing Son. It was a move directly after Fulham’s goal as Perisic was brought on for defense as Spurs dropped into more of a 5-4-1 formation to protect the lead.

Coach Rating – 7

Tottenham came out ready to take the game to Fulham, which was a relief after sitting back too much against West Ham. Conte rotated his team well and used the match as a good opportunity to introduce a few important signings for the club, with Lenglet and Richarlison getting full debuts. The second half was not quite a complete effort, but the team is getting closer to putting together a full 90-minutes. Unbeaten after six, with four wins and two draws, is a fantastic start.
