Despite some lingering concerns about player availability, Tottenham Hotspur is likely to use a similar team that beat Burnley in the season’s final match at Norwich.

With only a point required for a top-four finish and a Champions League entry – at the expense of rivals Arsenal – you can forgive Spurs fans for being a bit trepidatious. Given the history of the team and this scenario, reports of illness running through the Tottenham camp have most fans on edge.

On Friday, Coach Antonio Conte sought to allay any fears in his presser, saying he had the same players available as he did for Burnley and that Spurs would be ready. Given Conte’s comments, here is our final Tottenham projected XI for 2021/22.

Projected Tottenham Forwards

Conte likened Harry Kane‘s current situation to that of Dejan Kulusevski the previous week in the press conference. Kulusevski did not practice on Saturday, and it was Lucas Moura starting in the Swede’s place on Sunday. However, Kulusevski did come on and play the ten or so minutes of the game.

Of course, Kane is not Kulusevski, and Conte said as much about Kane, noting that “for sure Harry doesn’t want to miss this type of game and this game means a lot for everybody.”

Left-forward – Son Heung-min

One Tottenham player playing for more than a fourth-place finish is South Korean superstar Son Heung-min. Sonny sits but one goal behind Mo Salah for the Premier League Golden Boot. Given Norwich’s form, Sonny will likely get a few chances to at least catch Salah as the league’s most prolific scorer.

Centre-forward – Harry Kane

Unless he is not allowed by the doctors to play, Harry Kane will be starting for Tottenham. I do not believe Conte would compromise the team if Kane cannot contribute, but we should all expect him to go because he is Harry Kane. He wants to secure Champions League football for next season, heading into what will hopefully be a relaxing summer compared to last season.

Right-forward – Dejan Kulusevski

A week on from whatever illness limited Dejan Kulusevski against Burnley should be a thing of the past, and we should expect to see the Swede back in the starting line-up. Deki’s ability to get to the end line and pressure defences will be important in unlocking a Norwich team that is not likely to be too adventurous on Sunday.
