Three most impressive things about Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Villa

2. Tottenham’s deadly attacking trio reaches unplayable status
It’s nearly impossible to summarize the ruthlessness Tottenham’s attacking trio showcased in the Midlands yesterday. Since Dele Alli endured his well-documented demise, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have been waiting for a proficient third member of the band. Lucas Moura had his moments, but Dejan Kulusevski auditioned and, based on a domineering performance against Manchester City, secured the role. And he hasn’t looked back since.
The Swede looks every part Kane and Sonny’s equal. He creates havoc and is relentless in pursuit. Blessed with an outstanding work ethic and an uncanny ability to rise to the occasion, Kulu was once again instrumental in Tottenham’s comprehensive victory.
He scored the crucial second goal, allowing Spurs to take a collective breath. He also set up Sonny’s hat-trick goal with a sublime bit of play that required patience, devotion, skill, vision and physicality.
It’s almost redundant to speak of Kane’s contribution. He is a lion, a beast, among men, which he proved yet again. He doesn’t need to score to be the best player on the pitch, the most emphatic compliment for a striker.
