Spurs Projected Forwards

With Burnley more likely to sit deep than try and dominate possession, Tottenham is back to three up front. That does not mean Harry Kane will not drop deep into the number 10 role. However, we should also expect others to play a part in the hold-up game.

Left forward – Heung-Min Son

After creating several big chances – including two of the three goals – against Manchester City, Heung-min Son will be looking to keep rolling against Burnley. In 10 matches against the Clarets, Son has three goals and three assists. With the weather likely to be crummy at best, Son’s pace and power running at the Burnley defence should give Spurs an edge.

Centre-forward – Harry Kane

After being denied his hat-trick by VAR and Ederson but still winning the game, there is no denying Kane is back on form. Kane has seven league goals and six have come since Conte’s arrival. Although it did seem Kane may have aggravated his back against City, there has been nothing to lead us to believe he would miss out on Burnley, where his next goal will be his 10th against the Clarets.

Right forward – Dejan Kulusevski

After a couple of cameo appearances that left some questioning the signing of 21-year-old Dejan Kulusevski after his play against Manchester City, there should be no doubting why Spurs brought him in. Cool as a cucumber, Kulusevski calmly slotted home Spurs opening goal. Then having just been pegged back on a penalty, Kulusevski got to the end line, cut back and found Kane on a delightful cross to win the game. A high-energy guy, who is big, intelligent, and composed, Decky has to start again.
