Three signs Tottenham’s Harry Kane is returning to top form

2. Kane oozing with confidence
When Kane is in top form, he oozes with confidence.
Exhibit A: Kane’s first goal against Brighton yesterday was demonstrative of a player brimming with confidence. With only one thought in mind, Kane drove toward goal and hit a sublime curler from outside of the box. There was only one possible outcome.
Exhibit B: Kane’s exceedingly high confidence level correlates directly to his composure on the ball. Everything transpires in slow motion when he’s firing on all cylinders, case in point when Kane, in the first half yesterday, took the extra split second to look up and determine a deft chip from close range was the best option. Whether he was aiming for Son Heung-min‘s head or trying to ripple the back of the net is still uncertain.
What is certain is the belief Kane showed in his own ability. He backed himself in a pivotal moment, which hasn’t always been the case during his recent malaise. While Kane’s audacious chip didn’t end up in the back of Brighton’s net, it was a tell tale sign that England’s captain is almost back at his very best.
