Not for the first time this season, Tottenham were comprehensively outplayed at Stamford Bridge in the disheartening 2-0 defeat.

You have almost no chance of winning when your goalkeeper, after allowing two goals, is still your man of the match. Spurs two front men had almost no support, with too many defensive players in the away side’s starting 11.

Matt Doherty was forced into a terribly uncomfortable midfield role, while understudies Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon struggled to impress in Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon‘s place. While no Tottenham player made any catastrophic mistakes, their collective performance was nowhere near good enough.

Here are the player ratings from a completely listless outing at the Bridge. Sounds like a broken record every time Tottenham make the short trip to West London.
