1. Son Heung-min

As if there was ever any doubt. Son Heung-min is the poster child of Pochettino’s 24 Tottenham signings. Just a year after Pochettino landed in north London, he made the signing most instrumental in defining his legendary status at Spurs.

Pochettino and company paid Bayer Leverkusen £22 million for Son in 2015. According to Transfermarkt.com, he’s now worth about £70 million. Though I firmly believe the South Korean is worth more than that. Actually, his current worth to Tottenham cannot be quantified. He’s not for sale, period. If he was sold, Daniel Levy would be mad (though we know he already is) to sell him for anything less than £90 million. That would, however, cause Tottenham supporters to riot, finally sealing ENIC’s fate.

Based on merit from the current season, Son is Tottenham’s indisputable most valuable player. Never one to complain, Son remarkably sustains an incredibly high level. Sure, he has off days, but who doesn’t? The six-time Best Footballer in Asia award recipient has more highlights and memorable moments than one can recall. He has 116 goals in 305 appearances in all competitions with Spurs and is incredibly durable, rarely, aside from the most recent seasons, missing extended periods through injury.

The best part about Son is his highly esteemed character. He’s humble, loves Spurs and plays for the badge every time he pulls the shirt over his head. He’s a stud. And he’s a role model worth looking up to. If I didn’t know any better, I think I have a man crush. Though he’s fully deserving of everyone’s unceasing admiration.
