5. Ryan Sessegnon

A player whose career in north London was in serious jeopardy, Ryan Sessegnon has played with a new-found maturity in recent months. Sessegnon will be bitterly disappointed to have suffered yet another injury. He was establishing himself as a reliable and mature option as one of Conte’s left wingbacks. Sessegnon enjoyed a breakout, coming-of-age performance against Liverpool, in which he, for the most part, did a number on Mo Salah, stifling the world’s current best striker.

So long as he can find a way to stay off of the treatment table, there is no ceiling for Sessegnon. Sergio Reguilon is undoubtedly Conte’s first choice, but the number two role is his if he can regain the form he found prior to his latest injury setback.
