2. Tottenham’s appointment of Fabio Paratici

After a farcical, seemingly never-ending pursuit of a manager, Tottenham supporters received some news that would forever alter the way the club does business. The club’s new guardian angel came in the form of a 49-year-old Italian Director of Football.

Fabio Paratici is renowned for his eye for talent and is highly lionized for the abundance of success he attained while overseeing Juventus Football Club. Sure, he was responsible for hiring Nuno Espirito Santo, but he only made that decision because he wasn’t able to secure his first choice. Thankfully Paratici remained patient, showcased admirable persistence and perseverance and eventually landed the gaffer Tottenham were after the moment Jose Mourinho was shown the door.

Paratici is an incredible judge of character and knows talent when he sees it. The club is in good hands as long as the astute, experienced, tireless Italian is pulling the strings behind the scene.
