Tottenham player ratings in 3-0 win over Norwich
By Gary Pearson
Midfield
Sergio Reguilon N/A
Seen favouring his thigh in the warmup, Sergio Reguilon had to be replaced midway through the first half. Not enough time to give the Spaniard a rating. It looks like a slight strain, which shouldn’t keep him out of the lineup for too long.
Japhet Tanganga 5/10
While his work rate is never in question, Japhet endured the most disappointing afternoon of the Spurs’ defensive contingent. Brandon Williams, who troubled Tanganga often, almost created a Norwich equalizer in the second half after getting the better of Spurs’ wing back. Tough day at the office for Japhet.
Oliver Skipp 9/10
Oliver Skipp played a pivotal role in midfield yet again. The Englishman has become a staple in the first team and deserves massive credit for the way he harries and relentlessly pressures the opposition. He’s also showing more confidence and aptitude on the ball, flying forward when the rare opportunity presents itself. And what a fantastic slide challenge/pass from the ground in the first half. Skipp also played the part of creator in Tottenham’s third goal, playing Davies in before Son finished the move.
Pierre Hojberg 7.5/10
The Dane made a few wayward passes but was otherwise dominant in the centre of the park. He got forward often, like we’ve come to expect with his central midfield partner always there as insurance. Another warrior-like output but, this afternoon anyway, wasn’t quite as exceptional as Skipp.
