2. Get on board with Conte’s vision or get left behind

Tottenham’s squad isn’t good enough to compete with the Premier League’s elite. Nowhere near it. Conte will assuredly bring in new additions in January to bolster his team’s chances of competing at the top. And if you’re not on board with the gaffer’s vision, intensity and commitment, consider yourself gone.

There are some players — like Harry Winks — who have no chance of redemption. But there are others, with desire and the right attitude, who can retain a spot on the squad. Conte expects — as a bare minimum requirement — full devotion, high intensity and unerring commitment. Pack your bags if you cannot at least meet those obligations.

Conte will be pleased by his team’s reaction after the interval. Every player on the pitch fulfilled the minimum requirements as Tottenham Hotspur players. Quality aside, the Italian gaffer will take great solace in that.
