Midfield

Sergio Reguilon 3/10

Incredibly wasteful in possession, Sergio Reguilon gave the ball away seven times, the first of which led to an early booking. The Spaniard missed a golden opportunity at the back post, smashing a wonderful Harry Kane cross over and wide. Should have done better. He delivered one good cross before being withdrawn by Conte.

Oliver Skipp 7/10

A solid outing for the Englishman under difficult circumstances at Goodison. He conceded possession early on, but was safe in possession thereafter.

Pierre Hojberg 8/10

Back to his fierce best, at least defensively, Hojberg set Spurs up for a solid defensive outing. He missed a few passes but was a terrier in the heart of the pitch. A warrior-like performance from the dogged Dane.

Emerson Royal 5/10

Both wing backs have struggled to adapt to their new roles under Conte. Increased onus has been placed on both Royal and Reguilon, who have shown promising signs. For the most part, though, Royal, like Reguilon, gave the ball away too often. He missed a clear chance at the back post, almost ducking out of the way. He also had difficulty handling Demarai Gray’s shiftiness and skill.
