Tottenham projected starting 11 for home encounter vs Vitesse

There are a boatload of combinations Conte could go with. It’s imperative the spine of the team is solid, as conceding early would be disastrous for Spurs. Eric Dier gets the nod, marshalling a back three that sees Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon on either side of the Englishman.
If Conte decides to start Christian Romero, expect either Sanchez or Dier to drop to the bench. Japhet Tanganga is another option for Conte, but I think Conte will instead opt for the Welshman, who is better with the ball at his feet.
Ben Davies gets the nod as Conte’s left wingback. Although he played against Manchester United on Sunday, Conte will want to keep Sergio Reguilon fresh for Sunday.
Oliver Skipp, after coming off early against Manchester United, will start in front of the back four. Pierre Hojberg, who will start against Everton, sits this one out. Skipp will want to rebound after a disappointing outing against United, where he conceded possession all too easily throughout Sunday’s dismal loss.
Emerson Royal starts on the right. If Royal doesn’t start, Reguilon might get the nod on the left. I expect Conte to go with one of his first choice wingbacks, as starting on the front foot is a crucial part of immediately lifting Tottenham’s confidence and collective spirit.
The attacking quartet is a real crapshoot and hard to predict. Conte could go numerous routes, but will most likely start with Harry Kane on the bench. Steven Bergwijn, who knows intimately how Dutch sides conduct their business, is slightly more fresh than Lucas Moura and should start.
Tanguy Ndombele will start simply because he can be a difference maker in a match of this nature. I expect him to start on Sunday as well, but let’s see if that prediction pans out. Giovanni Lo Celso was poor against United and should lose his spot in the starting team. Dele Alli gets the start and will want to make most of the opportunity to show his new gaffer why he should be in contention for Premier League contests.
Son Heung-min is utilized simply because Spurs have to win. Conte will want to show his intent in Europe, which is why the South Korean plays.
Who do you think will be part of Conte’s first 11 against Vitesse?
