Tottenham projected midfield

There is only a little change in the midfield from Tottenham team that lost at the weekend at West Ham. Instead of playing Tanguy Ndombele again, Giovani Lo Celso gets his chance to shine with some more recognizable talent around him.

Giovani Lo Celso – Attacking midfield

Giovani Lo Celso is the kind of player that plays at the level of those around him. When the players around him are world-class, he plays that way too – see Lo Celso for Argentina. Well, Lo Celso has also been at his best for Tottenham when on the field with Son and Kane. Wednesday will be the first time in a while we will have seen Lo Celso with the duo from the start and it is a big opportunity for him, can he take it?

Pierre Hojbjerg – Holding midfield

Pierre Hojbjerg will once again be in the line-up doing his box-to-box work. Hojbjerg should be able to get forward more often against Burnley who offer little goal threat. Hojbjerg has shown he can dominate lesser opponents and Wednesday is a chance to prove that theory.

Oliver Skipp – Defensive midfield

Maybe Harry Winks gets the call, however, after another run to paper rant about his playing time, maybe the best thing is to simply stop playing Winks at all. Oliver Skipp looks more like the present and future of the midfield with almost every outing, Wednesday is another chance for Skipp to lock his spot in the first XI.
