Tottenham Ratings in Attack

Tottenham did have some offensive players on the pitch Sunday, although you would not have known it by the shots and chances they created.

Lucas Moura – 5

It is hard to say what Lucas Moura really did right on Sunday. He did have a couple of dribbles but he lost possession far more than he won it and did anything with it. With only 1 shot, 1 tackle, and 13-misplaced passes, Lucas was on the level with Son and Kane, which was way below the quality needed to win.

Harry Kane – 3

Harry Kane was terrible from start to finish as he jogged around the pitch pretending to care. Kane did hit a couple of good passes in the first half showing his teammates what is needed by he did not come up with the goods when it mattered most. Kane had a chance to play in Son but hit a terrible cross that Lukasz Fabianski easily covered. Kane’s lack of any effort to stop Antonio from scoring ultimately cost Tottenham all three points and you really have to wonder aloud why is Harry still at Tottenham?

Heung-Min Son – 4

Heung-Min Son was only a little better than Harry Kane but not much. Like Kane, Son had the chance to play in his mate for a tap-in but instead went for goal and the game up empty. Outside of one good back-tracking run where Son played a little defence it is hard to think of a contribution from the South Korean that helped Spurs. Clearly not on the same page as Kane, something has to change here.
