The back four will see near-sweeping changes, as Eric Dier is the only one who retains his spot. Christian Romero is in contention, but his arduous fortnight on international duty should convince Nuno to go with Dier, who is comparatively fresher. Davinson Sanchez gets a rare starting role, while Ben Davies and Japhet Tanganga complete the quartet.

Matt Doherty is still suffering from a knock and so too is Ryan Sessegnon, whose future at Tottenham is on borrowed time.

Oliver Skipp keeps his position in midfield, with Pierre Hojberg getting a well-deserved rest. Harry Winks, a likely loanee come January, comes into the first team. Hopefully Winks enjoys a strong outing, as he needs all the help he can to gain favour with Nuno.

Steven Bergwijn is available for selection, though the Dutchman should start on the bench. Considering his acute knowledge of the Eredivisie, there is an argument for Bergwijn to start. Though a better option is having him come off the bench if needed. An ankle injury has kept him out of action since featuring against Watford at the end of September.

Giovanni Lo Celso and Bryan Gil start in support of Dele Alli, who employs the No. 10 role. Harry Kane’s inclusion in the team is anything but certain. There’s a solid argument for starting and resting Tottenham’s talisman.

On the for side, he needs more games to continually gather momentum prior to a colossal clash against West Ham on Sunday. He bagged a hat trick in his cameo against Mura at the end of September, another reason to get him in from the off. It is also an important game for Spurs to win. They need to create space between them and Vitesse in the standings, providing even more impetus to start England’s captain.

On the against side, we all know the risks associated with playing too much, the most severe of which being possible injury. He’s also endured a chaotic few weeks, both for club and country. A rest would, at this stage, do Kane a world of good.

Son Heung-min is another option up front and can also turn to Dane Scarlett, though the youngster struggled to gain a foothold against Mura in Spurs’ last European Conference League match.

Who do you think Nuno will start against Vitesse on Thursday? And should Nuno start Kane when West Ham is beckoning on Sunday?
