Tottenham Projected Forwards

In the perfect world, neither superstar would be playing but given the circumstances with injuries both Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are back in action. Ideally neither play the full 90 but both will if necessary. The real question is who joins them?

Heung-Min Son (RW) – Son returned seemingly early on Sunday from the calf injury he picked up on the last international break. Son was one of several players who looked good early but faded as the match went on. Likely some of that was a fitness issue after having a leg problem which likely limited the South Korean’s ability to train. A good hour from Son to get an assist and back in the goals would be ideal as the Kane to Son, Son to Kane connection needs to get going.

Harry Kane (CF)  – Kane is back at center-forward with Son. Ideally, both are able to do some interchanging, dropping to do some hold-up play and then pushing up on Wolves’ last defender, likely Conor Coady. With only three goals in just six games against Wolves, Kane will be looking to up his total.

Bryan Gil (LW) – With Kane and Son in the attacking line will finally be Bryan Gil getting the start. Gil is one of the few natural attackers healthy in the team outside of Kane and Son and needs to be leveraged. While Nuno has tried to use Gil in the #10 hole, he has struggled with the physicality a bit. Alternatively, he is already a gifted winger who can stretch a defense and provide some service. Given Tottenham need to do both, it is time for this big acquisition to start.
