Tottenham Hotspur projected XI for Chelsea in the Premier League
By Aaron Coe
Full Spurs lineup and substitutes
Tottenham will be in a very Christmas tree-like 4-3-2-1 formation on Sunday. The idea is to try and keep Chelsea honest and not be completely trapped in deep. Spurs will get some chances they will just have to capitalize when they come.
In support of the starting XI, there are a lot of defenders with injuries mostly in the attack and a lot of youth as the bench does allow for nine.
Pierluigi Gollini is backing up Hugo Lloris and he will be joined by defenders Ben Davies, Matt Doherty, Cristian Romero, and academy defender Maksim Paskotsi.
The other four will include midfielders Harry Winks and Nile John, as well as two more attack-minded players in Dane Scarlett and Giovani Lo Celso back from his absence as well.
Starters – Lloris, Reguilon, Rodon, Sanchez, Royal, Ndombele, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Gil, Dele, Kane
Substitutes – Gollini, Davies, Doherty, Romero, Paskotsi, Winks, John, Scarlett, Lo Celso
