Tottenham senior players out on loan

On the senior side for Tottenham Hotspur seldom used goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman is out on loan with Degerfors IF, a team in the Swedish Allsvenskan, which is their First Tier and top division. Whiteman got a little playing time with the Spurs in the preseason but has seen very little action with the Swedish club.

Whiteman has appeared only once for Degerfors in a 0-2 loss where he played the full 90 minutes. Degerfors is currently only 1 place above the drop in the Allsvenskan and Whiteman is likely to be very active when he plays. This loan includes an option for a second year.

In a deadline day move, Tottenham Hotspur loaned out – for the seventh time – Cameron Carter-Vickers. As was the case last season, Carter-Vickers saw a decent amount of playing time in the preseason but is still behind other backs at the club, so he went out on loan.

This loan will be different for Carter-Vickers as his first outside of England, as he joined Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. CCV will join former Spur Joe Hart at the perennial powerhouse. As has often been the case, a good loan would hopefully lead to a permanent move for Carter-Vickers who is just too deep in the pecking order at Tottenham,

The final senior player on loan for Tottenham is in a very different situation than either Whiteman or Carter-Vickers. Pape Matar Sarr is simply staying at FC Metz where he was last season, only this season he is a Tottenham Hotspur player playing for Metz.

The Spurs signed the Senegalize midfielder and made a relatively logical choice to have him stay in France and continue to learn his trade. At just 18-years old, Sarr is also the youngest of the Tottenham loan players but may also be the one with the brightest future.
