Former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen stable and responsive

Will Eriksen ever play again?
The horrific event reminded everyone of the finite and ever-susceptible nature of life. While inconsequential at the moment, the incident might prevent Eriksen from ever strapping on the boots at an elite level again.
Prof Sharma is chair of the FA’s expert cardiac consensus group and is a consultant for charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Speaking about the incident, he said:
“I’m very pleased. The fact he’s stable and awake, his outlook is going to be very good.
“I don’t know whether he’ll ever play football again.”
Prof Sharma believes down the line that Eriksen and his club will have to assess the risks when determining if he can return to the pitch.
He said: “The good news is he will live, the bad news is he was coming to the end of his career, so would he play another professional football game, that I can’t say.
“In the UK he wouldn’t play. We’d be very strict about it.”
Although after witnessing yesterday’s distressing and somber incident, the prospect of not playing football again, at this point in time, feels incredibly insignificant.
