Rumored transfer targets compliment not replace Kane for Tottenham

Tottenham target Diego Rossi
Diego Rossi is likely someone most Tottenham fans have not heard of. The 23-year-old Uruguayan forward plays in Major League Soccer in the US. Starring this past season for LAFC, Rossi was the top scorer in the American League with 18 goals.
Rossi, like Thuram, is a consistent player who is usually lined up on the left wing. Outside of missing three matches for quarantine and international play – the MLS is not on the FIFA calendar – Rossi never went more than two straight matches without scoring a goal.
The player some are dubbing the next Luis Suarez can also score in bunches in big games, scoring two against the San Jose Quakes and four in the MLS is Back Tournament against crosstown rival LA Galaxy. Unfortunately for LAFC, Rossi got Coronavirus and missed their MLS playoff match where they were knocked out.
Rossi already has three goals in five games this season for LAFC, hitting the ground running. According to transfermarkt.com, Rossi is valued at $22 million (£15.5 million). However, according to some reports, Rossi may cost something closer to £10 million.
With the MLS season underway, now is the time, in order to keep him fresh, to jump on Rossi.
Tottenham takeaway
Ultimately, until Tottenham has someone leading the team it is difficult to see the club officially signing any players. While it is possible we should not hold our breaths. However, if they do, and these rumors are true, either Rossi or Thuram would be an excellent complement to Kane and Son.
