Paratici’s first assignment; to help Levy secure a new manager

The Italian is said to already be helping Levy choose the next manager to lead Tottenham into its next era. He’s certainly got his work cut out for him. Levy has thus bottled Tottenham’s quest to hire an A-Grade, elite manager.

First Julian Nagelsmann dropped out of contention, deciding to pledge his allegiance to Bayern Munich. Then Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag dropped like flies, the latter of whom has recently resurfaced as a potential frontrunner. Though it’s still incredibly unlikely ten Hag will sign with Spurs after recently committing to an extension at Ajax.

Then Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino popped miraculously onto the scene. Anticipation grew faster than Jose Mourinho’s behind-the-scene issues before being axed, with everyone feverishly expectant of either top manager confirming his allegiance to Spurs.

Unfortunately both managers recently dropped out of contention, although many believe, if Levy capitulates on his hardliner stance, the appointment of Conte is still plausible. Odds say Levy won’t budge, though, which will rule Conte out once and for all.

All of those setbacks have Tottenham supporters wondering what is next in this topsy turvy, record-breaking stint without a gaffer.

Suffice to say, Paratici is definitely going to have to earn his salary. He is tasked with finding an elite manager while keeping the controlling Levy at an arm’s length.

Next. Dream of rehiring Pochettino officially dead. dark

If Paratici can convince a top-notch manager to sign on the dotted line, if any remain in contention after Levy’s destructive warpath, he’ll already pay off what is sure to be an inflated salary.
