Three players we know are leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer

Loans end for Vinicius and Bale at Tottenham
Technically Carlos Vinicius and Gareth Bale are both back at their parent clubs in Portugal and Spain respectively. Carlos Vinicius was not a bad loan as the Brazilian striker did score 10 goals and add 3 assists in under 1000 total minutes. At 973 minutes with 13 goal involvements that’s an incredible goal involvement for just under every 75 minutes on the pitch.
That return is incredible, however, little of that return came against top competition, as Vinicius’ minutes were limited. Vinicius had as many appearances – nine – in Europa League as he did across the whole of the Premier League season. With just over 300 minutes total on the season in the top flight, whether or not Vinicius can help Tottenham or anyone else in the EPL next season remains a mystery.
What does not remain a mystery is whether or not Tottenham is going to pick up the option on the loan. With an option to buy reportedly north £35 million it is just not going to happen. Maybe Vinicius will come back next season but not at that price.
Currently, Carlos is valued at less than half that (£15.6 million or $22 million) according to transfermrkt.com it is just not going to happen for that higher sum. Vinicius was good but there are likely more affordable options out there look at the season Ollie Watkins just had and he was way less.
Bale knows what he is doing does Tottenham
Depending on your perspective, Gareth Bale had a disappointing or possibly successful loan at Spurs this past season. Bale’s production in limited minutes we great, with 16 goals and 3 assists in all competitions. With under 1700 minutes on the season, Bale averaged a goal contribution every 77 minutes.
Sure, Bale’s contributions were slightly less often than Vinicius but no one is going to question for a second whose goals had greater value to the club on the season. With 11 goals and 2 assists in just 990 Premier League minutes, clearly, Gareth Bale can still perform at a high level in the top flight. At least against the right teams, as Tottenham was apparently unbeaten when Bale scored.
Whether or not the performances from the Welsh wonder were enough to bring him back another season I guess only he and Daniel Levy know – and maybe Harry Kane. What we do know is that at least for now, Bale, like Vinicius, is gone from N17 for now. We also know that Danny Rose will soon be gone as well.
